Procurement in Municipalities focusing on Energy Efficient Solutions - PRIMES

Description

The purpose of the project is to develop basic skills and provide hands-on support for public purchasing organisations to overcome barriers and implement Green Public Purchasing (GPP). 

Project objective

Detailed case studies for sharing between the partners and in the wider EU will include the following product groups:

  • New efficient white goods appliances
  • Energy efficient street lighting
  • Green Electricity
  • Indoor lighting systems
  • Window replacement
  • Renovation of the thermal building envelope
  • Building maintenance works
  • Printers
  • PCs, Monitors, Lap tops
  • Photocopiers
  • Supply of vehicles

Main activities

  • Selection and attraction of Municipalities in each partner country;
  • Identifying the need for local authorities and municipalities related to GPP;
  • Training material development for GPP
  • GPP training sessions with help of foreign experts for local stakeholders in municipalities;
  • Ensure technical support for 20 green procurements performance and implementation in each of the municipalities;
  • Strategy development for cooperation with product and service suppliers in Latvia;
  • Identification and analysis of good practice examples;
  • Organisation of discussions, seminars, Energy days and cooperation events.

Project budget

Proposed project budget ~ 1639121 EUR. LEIF contributes to the Project as Project partner with amount 87 796 EUR (including self-financing 25%).
